There are few pleasures as timeless as Afternoon Tea. This spring, we invite you to experience a refined and intimate Afternoon Tea at the historic Captain Farris House, circa 1845 — where tradition, elegance, and warm hospitality meet in the heart of Cape Cod.
Served in our charming Tea Room, this seasonal experience is designed for those who appreciate quiet luxury: meaningful conversation, delicate flavors, and the simple joy of slowing down.
Perfect for celebrating friendship, birthdays, mother-daughter outings, bridal moments, or a relaxing afternoon with someone special, Afternoon Tea at Captain Farris House feels like stepping into a more graceful time.
Each tea is beautifully presented on a traditional three-tier stand and includes:
Savory Finger Sandwiches
• Coronation chicken salad
• Classic cucumber
• London broil with horseradish cream
Freshly Baked Scones
• Served warm with house-made clotted cream
• House-made Strawberry preserves and Lemon curd
Miniature Desserts
• Tea cakes
• Lemon squares
• Seasonal fruit
All served alongside a curated selection of fine teas.
Afternoon Tea is $49 per person
(plus tax and gratuity)
Menu selections are seasonal and may vary slightly from week to week.
We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.
Gluten-free and vegan options are available for an additional charge.

$49 per person
A beautifully presented three-tiered service featuring:
- Seasonal fruit
- House-made scones
- Assorted tea sandwiches
- An exquisite selection of sweets
Each service includes your choice of hot or iced tea, cocoa, or lemonade.
All offerings are prepared on-site using fresh, high quality ingrediants. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available for an additional charge. Please inform us of any dietary needs when making your reservation.
(20% gratuity is added for parties of six or more.)
Curated Tea Selection
Black Teas
- Assam, Doomni Estate: Full-bodied with natural sweetness, beautiful with milk or enjoyed on its own.
- Earl Grey: A whole-leaf, single-estate Ceylon tea from Sri Lana, scented with 100% pure bergamot oil
Green Tea
- Jasmine Pearls: Gently rolled pearls of South China green tea scented with fresh jasmine blossoms (It’s a very aromatic cup with a lingering sweetness.)
Oolong
- Nantou Four Seasons: Grown in central Taiwan, it has a nectar-like sweetness and floral aroma.
Herbal Infusions
- Chamomile: Whole blossoms harvested in Croatia, with delicate honeyed notes
- Lemon Ginger: A warming blend of ginger, lemongrass, linden, and marigold
- Mint: Smooth and aromatic
- Rooibos: Naturally caffeine-free and full-bodied
