The Winter
As the cooler winds sweep across our peninsula, begin your day with breakfast at The Captain Farris House and start exploring. One of our favorite ways to spend time during the cooler months is meandering through the museums and historical sites on Cape Cod. Many of our guests rave about their experiences at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, the Sandwich Glass Museum, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art. Each of these informative exhibit halls showcases the various facets of our region, all of which combine to create our culture!
You can also delight in one of the charming Cape Cod Christmas events. Each of these spectacular extravaganzas gets us in the holiday spirit at The Captain Farris House. In fact, we’ll be participating in this year’s Annual Holiday Cookie Stroll & Open House in Bass River. Stop by and receive a sweet treat in coordination with this event! Other fantastic Yuletide festivals include the Lighting of the Provincetown Pilgrim Monument & Museum, First Light Chatham, and the Gardens Aglow at the Heritage Museum and Gardens.
The Spring
As the snow melts, our scenic haven flourishes with the scents of freshly bloomed flowers, which decorate our region with soft pastel colors. If you wish to experience this stunning sight, we recommend touring the breathtaking Heritage Museum and Gardens. This beautiful green space showcases over 1,000 kinds of flowers and manicured lawns across 100 acres, as well as a carefully curated selection in the museum. In addition, this season marks the return of whale watching in Provincetown with Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch!
