4 Cape Cod Christmas Strolls

It’s always exciting when you see the first signs of the holiday season on its way. You might see decorations for sale at your local shops, twinkling lights lining the streets, and flyers for upcoming festivities. You can feel the holiday cheer in the air!

Some of the best things to look forward to during this time include our Cape Cod Christmas strolls. There are several excellent options, and we’ll tell you about them all so that you don’t miss out on the fun.

1. Osterville Village Christmas Stroll in Barnstable

One of the earliest strolls takes place in Osterville Village of Barnstable during the first weekend of December. Bundle up in warm clothes, grab some hot cocoa, and walk hand-in-hand with your sweetheart through this charming community. It takes place all day and throughout the evening, so there’s plenty of time to fill up on holiday cheer!

2. Hyannis Christmas Stroll

The Hyannis Christmas Stroll is another fantastic option at the beginning of the month. The day starts with a special Breakfast with Santa, followed by a meet-and-greet with Mr. Claus and a variety of fun things to do. The list of free activities includes the annual Cookie Stroll Contest. Visit participating local businesses to grab some tasty treats and vote for your favorite!

3. Bass River Holiday Cookie Stroll in Yarmouth

The Bass River Holiday Cookie Stroll is a Christmas event that’s close to home for us — literally. It takes place right here in the historic Bass River Village of South Yarmouth, MA, where the Captain Farris House is located! In fact, our inn is a destination along the route. Stop by to pick up one of our freshly baked cookies during your walk through town! Afterward, help yourself to some hot cider and cranberry bread at the South Yarmouth Library nearby.

4. Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll

Last but not least is the Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll that takes place the following day. It’s a full afternoon packed with activities including scenic walks along Route 6A, trolley rides, magic shows, music, and more. Make sure you stick around for an enchanting tree-lighting ceremony at 4:15 p.m. at the Village Green!
